Client
The Finnish Border Guard is a military organisation under the Ministry of the Interior of Finland. Border guards mission is to protect Finland’s territorial integrity, prevent crimes at the border and make border checks.
The solution
The concept behind the centenary symbol is the borders that the Finnish Border Guard defends, and how these borders define us and our place in the world. The result of the design process was a geometric abstract bear.
The objective
For their centenary celebration, the Finnish Border Guard wanted a symbol that shows the values and the mission of the border guard in a contemporary way while still respecting the traditions.
The pattern based on the centenary logo is now part of the permanent visual identity of the Finnish Border Guard.
