José Gonçalves is a Brazilian contemporary painter known for his large scale works full of energy.
The solution
The idea was to have loose art direction and let Gonçalves work freely in his studio while we captured the images. I wanted to give a feeling that the viewer had a rare opportunity to see artist in his studio.
The objective
For the artist book we wanted to capture the energy that Gonçalves has while he is working in his studio.
